Really pleased with how this model has turned out.
Firewood, I am sure wood have been stored under the overhang of the thatch.
When was the saw invented ?
I think it was later than we imagine, will look into that !

The base was painted with pva and sand for texture, prior to painting.

ReplyDeleteI bought this beautiful model and I have to say that I feel guilty at how much I paid. It is gorgeous. A real masterpiece. My wife saw the photo and was so impressed, she wanted to help me unpack the model when it arrived.
ReplyDeleteThe air of growing excitement in the kitchen as we dismantled the substantial packaging was rewarded with the reveal. The Great Hall was placed in the centre of the table and we just sat and admired it.
Well done Dan! A cracking model, every bit as good in real life as in the photos above. We feel privileged to own it.
